This burger chain has a Downtown Carrollton location that features pool tables and plenty of seating options, plus a menu that’s filled with creatively-made burgers that will, in most cases, cost you less than 10 bills. Burgers like the Happy Pilgrim, with turkey meat patty, goat cheese, kale pesto and mixed greens will cost you just over $8 with tax. Kids meals are also affordable, too. A grilled cheese and fries meal is just $399.
First Chinese BBQ

Get your fill of Chinese BBQ, even if you’re on a budget at First Chinese BBQ. With a menu made up of dishes that can be yours for under $10, this Carrollton spot is the place to go when hunger hits, but you don’t want your wallet to take a hit. Popular dishes include the beef flat noodle and of course traditional soups like hot and sour or the wonton soup.
Cuban Dulceria International Bakery
Where: 1017 S. Broadway St
Carrollton’s favorite Cuban bakery and eatery has the best Cuban sandwich in town, according to Dallas magazine. The restaurant has been a community staple since 1979 and doles out some of the best cheap eats in the DFW-area. Like the pan con lechon, with shredded pork, or El Americano, for example. This spot also offers a variety of Cuban baked-goods, cakes and specialty drinks to go along with your sandwich.
Old House BBQ

Old House BBQ in Carrollton claims to have the best barbequed eats in town. Try it out for yourself. They might just have the best prices, too. You decide. A barbecue half-chicken plate comes with two sides and a roll for a cost that is just shy of $10. And, the regular barbecue sandwich, again with two sides, can be yours for under $9.
