Specializing in refined pub fare, craft beer and premium spirits, the scratch kitchen and cocktail program at this Plano restaurant make it a highly desirable place to be. 2. Katy Trail Ice House Outpost
Where: 4700 W Park Blvd
Head out to the community picnic-style seating area at Katy Trail Ice House Outpost and get yourself a cold beer. You can choose from over 50 beers on tap at this Austin-style beer garden and restaurant. And, in true Austin-style, dogs are certainly welcome here. There’s plenty of seating here which makes this spot good for groups, of people, and pets.
3. Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar
Where: 8401 Preston Rd
Four-legged friends can enjoy the patio at Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar with their owners seven days a week, until midnight. The dog-friendly restaurant has a from-scratch-kitchen and serves up eats like pizza, pasta, bowls, fish dishes, steaks, chicken, salads and even meatloaf. The restaurant and bar also has a long list of draft beer to choose from, and for the dogs, a complimentary water bowl.
4. Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar
Where: 3601 Dallas Pkwy
This popular Plano restaurant has a farm-to-kitchen approach and whips up food and cocktails from scratch, and from scratch only. Hit the porch with your pet and enjoy slow-cooked eats that have been good on the live wood grill, spit or smoker like mesquite-grilled short rib, wood-grilled brisket or rotisserie farm bird, a half spit roasted chicken. Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar also offers brunch, lunch and specials during its social hour.
5. Bread Winners Cafe & Bakery
Where: 4021 Preston Rd
Bread Winners has multiple locations across the region all of which offer a selection of breads, pastries and desserts baked daily. The bistro-style restaurant offers breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner and offers happy hour specials every Tuesday through Friday. And of course, dogs are welcome on the Bread Winners Cafe & Bakery patio.
