Have a Family-Fun Day at Sandy Lake Amusement Park

This Carrollton theme park features rides, mini golf, arcades, paddle boats, swimming and picnic areas and provides no shortage of family-fun for everyone. Take it to the mini green and putt your way to mini-golf glory or drive like a maniac in the bumper car arena. Admission to Sandy Lake Amusement Park is $2 per person and admission for kids three years and younger is always free. Ride tickets and mini golf will cost you but the pricing is affordable, especially when compared to some of the area’s big name theme parks.

Explore the A.W Perry Homestead

Take the kids to see what life was like in Texas at the turn of the 20th century at the A.W Perry Homestead. The original homestead was built on 640 acres in 1857 and was later rebuilt by the original homesteader’s son in 1907. Today the homestead operates as an educational museum and has been a designated historic landmark since 1977.

Spend the Day Outside at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
